Fucked Up Music – 7.19.10 – The Monkey House

This is huge.

Some of the best and bestest local effed up/ talented  artists that Burlington has to offer are joining forces for a night and bringing in some of the finest out there acts from around the country/ world.

NNA Tapes / Greg Davis / Angioplasty Media and Others are proud to present:

Oneohtrix Point Never

Oneohtrix Point Never is an alias and solo project of Brooklyn-based synth artist Daniel Lopatin formed in 2007. He has also experimented with other genres, such as synth-pop and jazz. Lopatin also runs the Upstairs CDR label.

Previously he has been involved in acts Astronaut, Infinity Window, Skyramps, Dania Shapes and other.

G. Lucas Crane is a sound artist, performer, and musician whose work focuses on information anxiety, media confusion, and recycled technology. Using a combination field recordings culled from the underbelly of the contemporary sonic media landscape and homemade electronic instruments, oscillators and broken machines, he creates compositions and performances as a reaction to, and illustration of, our information detritus choked times.

Mr. Crane has been barely surviving performances, both solo and in support of bands including Dufus, Woods, Castanets, and Wooden Wand and the Vanishing Voice, since the turn of the century. Beware, and attentive.

Burning Star Core

Burning Star Core is the brainchild of violinist / vocalist / electronic improviser C. Spencer Yeh of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Family Battle Snake

Family Battle Snake is the long running solo experimetal music project of sound artist and designer Bill Kouligas. Residing in Berlin, and having also lived in Athens and London, his music captures a variety of different sounds and time periods filtered through an imaginary urban soundscape. Emerging through a noise underground, ominous like a cloak of whispers, he now floats on a plane ebbing and flowing between electronic tape music and gluey entropicalia. With the use of analogue synth, tape manipulation and electronics he employs warm drones and a musique concrete approach through structured perspectives on a journey across time.
