Happy Birthday – debut ‘GIRLS FM’ via Gorilla vs. Bear

Funny. Checked their site to see if they had any tunes up yet but NO.

Then Tristan pops me this link.

Looking forward to this album. So hard.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

we’ve written a bit about them in the last year when they’ve rolled through.

– here’s a blurb from Gorilla vs. Bear today:

Sub Pop continues their impressive showing in early 2010 with the release of the future sleeper hit/self-titled debut from Happy Birthday, a group started by Kyle Thomas (King Tuff) when he realized “he needed a band to play his new pop songs because he was too scared to play by himself.” Catchy, unabashed ’70s glam-tinged pop with hooks for days, sure to appeal to fans of Smith Westerns, Girls, King Tuff (duh), and the like.

Check out the track ‘GIRLS FM’ here.
