Had seen the date and location on the Rough Francis site for a wee bit, and then just read a wee bit more about it over at Steve’s site.
Looks to be the last local Rough Francis gig for the time being. Hopefully a few more pop out through out the winter/ spring.
So. Not terribly sure what the gig is about but Swale and Rough Francis are at it in the basement of JDK. Apologies if it’s a private event?.

Somehow, Swale finds a way to extract, and then express, the chaotic elements buried in peacefulness through unexpected orchestrations of drum, guitar, piano, harnessed noise, and voice. When main songwriters and partners Eric Olsen and Amanda Gustafson sing together, they create a complex voice that tangibly entwines weary raggedness with gentle innocence.
When performing live, all three members share the front of the stage, set up virtually on top of one another, a collective huddle centered around the untiring engine that is drummer/songwriter Jeremy Frederick. Their textured and manipulated sound, culminating in puissant highs as well as staggering moments of tranquility, makes watching this band nothing short of entrancing. – via their site.
