There seems to be at least 1 if not 2 to 3 shows every night so far this fall worth checking out. It’s getting busier and busier.
BIG TREE
“So likeable it hurts.”
– Ka Leo O Hawaii, 9/10/08
Big Tree , ‘an up and coming indie-pop outfit from Brooklyn, NY who feature infectiously catchy melodies along with beautiful dual-female vocal harmonies’ are playing an afternoon set in Montpelier for The Montpelier Downtown Music Festival.
Other folks also performing include Rusty Belle, The Motortown Revival: A Tribute to The Motown Sound ( feat. Michael Chorney, Miriam Bernardo & Andrew Moroz ) and Portland, ME based Celtic Rockers The Pubcrawlers.
Should be a fine afternoon/ evening of eclectic and masterfully performed music.
For those interested the event is located at the Farmers Market on the corner of Elm and State Streets in downtown Montpelier. Events kick off at 3pm and roll until midnight.
For those interested in some BIG TREE but unable to make it the capital. They’ll be at The Monkey House this evening with doors opening at 8pm. This will be the bands 3rd time thru Burlington in the last few months. Each time I hear more and more folks talking about them with nothing but great things said. Back in July I wrote about how I stumbled across them via a buddy. Been doing a lot of sharing of their stuff in the last few months so hopefully a few more folks come out!
“Their songs will get stuck in your head only shortly after your heart leaves your mouth from the impact of the perfect vocal harmonies.”
