I saw these guys play in Brooklyn at Zebulon this spring. Psychedelic country sort of stuff, Dylan-esque with some Sonic Youth. Really super tight band and cool songs. I strongly recommend you give a listen to their myspace.
Zachary used to play in an equally cool band called Illuminations, less country, more rockin’.

Anyway, this is Brad and Jessica Lauretti. They write cool songs and have one of my favorite bands names. Last time they were here, they may have seemed a little glum. That’s because they were turned away at the border headed to Montreal. Oh well, this time they are supporting their friends Zachary before heading out on their monterous tour of the world….not really, but these two hit it pretty hard as far as the road is concerned. They will be out for a few months at a time after their show at the Monkey.
If you’ve ever heard, and/or enjoyed Maryse Smith’s music, you will really like both of these acts.
Stacked will be opening the show.
