This is a show I have been eagerly awaiting for weeks. Years ago, while living on Isham St. in a mini attic apartment I stumbled across a little compilation sampler that had just one song on it that really hit home and tackled me. It was from a band I had never heard of called TIGER SAW. I never further explored the band even though I’d dip back into that disc again and again over the years. Mostly in the disc man on drives to and from Portland. Every time I moved here in town I’d sort through my music and save that disc simply for that track.
It always made the cut.
When I found out that TIGER SAW was touring and interested in a Burlington stop, I tried to find the disc again with no luck.
Oh wells. Finally getting to see him/ them.

THE WAILING WALL
“The Wailing Wall” began as a solo recording project by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Rifkin in late 2004, and became a real band in October 2005. Live, the Wailing Wall can be anything from Jesse playing alone to a sprawling collective of musicians. To date, they have shared stages with the likes of A Hawk and a Hacksaw( opening for Andrew Bird here in town on 4.05.09), Mount Eerie, Circulatory System, Man Man, Jason Anderson, Castanets, Mary Timony, Karl Blau, TW Walsh (ex-Pedro the Lion), Thanksgiving, The Instruments, Woelv, Harry and the Potters, The New Sound of Numbers, and others
MARY and THE WOODS
It’s pretty likely you have seen the folks of Mary and The Woods kicking about Burlington/ Winooski even if you have yet to see them perform. Mary slinging some caffeine at Radio Bean and Chris taking care of sound duties at the Monkey House.
Brave the beautiful snow and come partake.
