For a taste, take a listen to his Daytrotter Session here

From Daytrotter:
“Constantly holding the mic too close to his mouth, Ashworth performs like a cable repairman on “The Gong Show;” methodical but uneasy. His collection of equipment spills wires everywhere, and as he sings downtrodden tales of idle young people he grips the mic like a dictaphone while casually inspecting his cables and moving keyboards around. He’s busy playing, singing, and preparing, but without any of the hows-he-do-it? fanfare of solo shows. Ashworth opened with “Cold White Christmas,” featuring the wonderfully dry lyric, “Beer for breakfast who’s gonna scold,” which Ashworth sings in his resigned baritone. “Feather down, the nights get so cold,” with an emphasis on the pillow; this is how Casiotone tells a yarn.”

To Bad Catholics

To Bad Catholics began in a Vancouver basement cluttered with BETA tapes rescued from the garbage bin of the CBC Calgary Branch in the fall of 1999. Their first record, “God Listens To Bad Catholics Too” was issued in 2002 in a run of 15. They are touring New England with Casiotone in support of their latest album, “Mallorytown.” Both C.D.’s feature contributions from Mallory who TBC met when they shared a table at T.G.I. Fridays (it was packed) she was dining alone in a booth seat and the hostess asked if they could share.
